All Bates Saddles with the Easy Change Gullet System come standard with a medium gullet. Should you choose an another gullet size Pelham Saddlery will gladly send you the saddle with the gullet you choose installed along with the medium gullet.Additional gullets will be charged at the greatly discounted price of $16.95 (reg. $19.95).

*If you are not sure what the difference is between our Trial option and our purchase option, keep reading. We have always stood behind our trial policy. Normally when you choose to add any of our new saddles into your shopping cart on our web site, if we have the size and color you are looking for in stock we are happy to send you the saddle on trial so you can test the fit on your horse before commiting to purchase. With the invention of the EASY CHANGE GULLET SYSTEM, now used in the Wintec and Bates Saddles the width of the saddle can be altered in minutes with simple household tools. Because of this, it is quite possible that if you know what tree size and seat size you and your horse need, you may opt to just purchase one today without a trial policy. If the color and size is not currently in stock, we can immediatley order it in for you, so you will be riding in your brand new saddle in a short amount of time! If for some reason, the saddle did not work out for you or your horse, you can still return it to us. We will refund your money as long as the saddle is still in brand new condition within 30 days of the purchase date. A restocking fee of 15% will apply.
